Chelsea Creek, Fulham, London

St George Plc

The Chelsea Creek development lies within the South Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area. It is the final phase of Imperial Wharf and will deliver 489 homes with a mix of commercial uses including retail and offices in a high quality waterside setting adjacent to the new Imperial Wharf Station.

PFA Consulting was part of a multi-disciplinary team and was responsible for all transport related aspects of the project. These included a review of existing traffic conditions, a review of the pedestrian environment, including accessibility to significant destinations, and surveys of passengers at Imperial Wharf Station. We provided input to the Masterplan and carried out swept path analysis for access routes and car parks. The trip generation implications were assessed taking account of the South Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area Transport Study and a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan were prepared together with a Transport Chapter for the Environmental Statement. Following liaison with Transport for London and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, planning consent was granted in February 2012.
